Headshot Image Licence
- Licence Grant
The Speaker grants Clarion Defence (UK) Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, and display the submitted headshot photograph (“Image”) for the purposes of:
- Event identification (e.g., delegate lists, badges, Speaker Profile);
- Event materials, including digital and printed media and attendee lists;
- Event-related communications and promotional content.
- Warranties
The Speaker warrants and represents that by submitting the Image:
(a) they are the owner of all rights in the Image or have obtained all necessary permissions to submit the Image and grant this licence;
(b) use of the Image by Clarion Defence (UK) Ltd as permitted under this licence will not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or data protection rights.
- Indemnity
The Speaker shall indemnify and hold harmless Clarion Defence (UK) Ltd its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or losses arising from breach of the warranties in Clause 2.
- Data Protection (UK GDPR Compliance)
(a) The Image constitutes personal data under applicable data protection laws.
(b) Clarion Defence (UK) Ltd is the Data Controller for the Image and shall process the Image lawfully and fairly, in accordance with UK GDPR, for the purposes outlined in Clause 1.
(c) The legal basis for processing the Image is:
- Performance of a contract (event participation); and/or
- Legitimate interests (event operations and promotion).
(d) The Image may be shared with event partners or published in event materials but will not be sold or used for unrelated marketing without consent.

- No Liability for Use
Clarion Defence (UK) Ltd accepts no liability for use of the Image made in good faith under this licence, except to the extent required by law.
- Governing Law
This licence is governed by English law, and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
