Dstl is the science inside UK defence and security. An executive agency of the MOD, Dstl harnesses the best science, innovation and technology to keep the UK safe and prosperous.

In partnership with industry, academia and international allies, it develops cutting-edge capabilities and novel solutions at pace for strategic advantage.

Dstl is a critical actor in UK and international defence and security.

The depth and breadth of its internal expertise, operational awareness, and wide-reaching networks across industry, academia and international allies means it has a unique ability to rapidly support major operations and crises in an innovative and impactful way. This stands alongside its enduring research commitment to understanding, nurturing and accelerating emerging transformative technologies of the future for defence and security.

Around half of its scientific research is delivered directly with industry and academia who are vital partners in keeping the UK and its allies ahead of their adversaries.

Much of this is also delivered in collaboration with international partners.

This panel session looks at how science and technology will transform defence and help the armed forces prepare for the future battlespace.
