William has spent 10 years working within the Ministry of Defence; from International Shipbuilding projects, certification and assurance of Ships and now within the Defence Maritime Regulator. Holding a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a HNC in Design and Manufacturing; registered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Institute Of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology as a Chartered Engineer. Having a passion for all things engineering and for safety of his colleagues and partners within Defence; his current role includes providing assurance of Health and Safety Systems and arrangements for Military shipping, combining two of his interests into a single role. William has a keen interest in the future of autonomous shipping within Defence as a technological advancement, but also an advancement in safety, in keeping personnel and hazards separated at sea.
