After a career in the Maritime Reserve, Tony became a Royal Marines Cadet Force Adult Volunteer after a chance encounter on Armed Forces day. Fast forward 11 years, he is has served across a variety of roles most recently as Troop Commander for eleven units across London. As a staunch advocate for the social economic mobility and equity of opportunity the Cadet movement brings, this resulted in him becoming the first RM CFAV to be appointed as the Aid-de-Camp to the Lord Mayor of London. Acting as a strategic advisor on Cadets and Youth, for which he received Freeman of City London in 2023.  

As the assistant Director Operations at Defence Relationship Management (DRM) the Employer Engagement arm of the MoD, delivering (but not limited to) two key outputs; namely the Armed Forces Covenant and the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). Tony oversees the Communications, Events and Awards functions, whilst owning the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Policy delivery and hosting season three of the Being Forces Friendly podcast.

Prior to joining DRM, Tony spent 15 years in HR, leadership training & talent development roles within tech & manufacturing, his last role was running the Samsung Global Leadership Framework in the UK & Eire.
