Major General Timothy Hodgetts CB CBE KHS
Major General Tim Hodgetts CB CBE KHS OStJ DL. Tim is the current serving Surgeon General of the United Kingdom Armed Forces, the Master General of the Army Medical Services and the elected Chair of the Committee of Chiefs of Military Medical Services in NATO (COMEDS). His clinical background is a Professor of Emergency Medicine. Tim is widely published (over 30 books and c.200 academic papers) and is recognised for the concepts and curricula he has introduced through-career that underpin contemporary pre-hospital, emergency medicine and disaster medical care in both military and civilian practice. He is an Honorary Surgeon to the King and a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of West Midlands. Tim’s accolades include citation in a British Medical Association as “one of the most innovative doctors in the country”, and the national award of “Hospital Doctor of the Year”.
