A Chartered Engineer with over thirty years’ experience in electronics, Stephen has worked across a wide spectrum of technologies, with Electronic Warfare (EW) defence as his latest and most challenging focus. His career path into defence has been shaped by close engagement with Whitehall, Defence & Security Exports (D&SE), the Department for Business & Trade (DBT), and a strong network of colleagues and partners across industry and government. 
  
Blending technical depth with strategic communication, Stephen has spent his career moving between design, problem-solving, and collaboration. From boardrooms to labs, much of his work has involved talking, networking, and translating ideas into products that make a real-world impact. 
  
Today, his focus is on developing advanced defence solutions that draw on the fusion of mathematics, computing, machine learning, electronics, and international standards. It is this unique combination that makes EW both demanding and rewarding: a field where cutting-edge theory must be converted into rugged, reliable systems that protect assets and enable missions.
