Lieutenant General Richard Wardlaw OBE MSc BEng FCILT MInstRE
Lieutenant General Richard Wardlaw was appointed as the first Chief of Defence Logistics and Support in October 2019. As CDLS he is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of a cross-cutting, pan-Defence strategy for Support, a c£14Bn/annum enterprise covering every facet of Logistics, Engineering and Equipment Support .
The responsibility of this role includes: directing, regulating, and assuring Support policies, rules and standards; directing the Support Transformation portfolio designed to deliver a new, world-class Defence Support organisation and network, including c£1.2Bn of financial efficiencies; and directing, cohering and assuring pan-Defence Support performance, including those capabilities necessary for the outload/inload of forces from the UK.
