Mr. Peter Göthe is the Director General at the Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency. The agency's task is, together with the Swedish Armed Forces and competent civilian agencies, to staff the Total Defence (Military Defence and Civil Defence). The Agency informs, summons, muster, and enrol to the basic military training as well as register personnel for positions in the civil defence. The Agency is also responsible to fill the wartime-organisation with conscripts and employed personnel from the Swedish Armed Forces. 
For other agencies within Total Defence, we perform tests and assessments for professions and educations with special requirements. For the Police authority and the Armed Forces, the Agency is responsible for the assessment process for the admission to the police education and the military officers training programme. We also support other agencies, including regions and municipalities, within the total defence when they staff their wartime organisation. 
Mr. Göthe has previously held the positions as Capability Director and Defence Policy Director at the Ministry of Defence. He has also held the positions as Deputy Director General for the former Swedish Defence and Security Export Agency, senior adviser at the Swedish Armed Forces Defence Staff, Defence Counsellor at the Swedish Permanent Representation to the European Union, monitor for the European Commission Monitor Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina and staff officer (major in the reserve) for the Nato Kosovo Force.
