Paul Oxley is the External Affairs Director at ADS Group, the UK’s trade association for the aerospace, defence, security, and space sectors. Since joining ADS in July 2022, Paul has worked across policy, public affairs, international relations, communications, and marketing, aiming to support the organisation’s engagement and reputation within government and the wider sector.
 
In his role, Paul focuses on developing strategic narratives that help communicate industry priorities and foster productive dialogue among stakeholders. He engages regularly with senior political figures, collaborating with government, Parliament, and devolved administrations to represent industry needs and support effective policy outcomes.
 
Paul specialises in skills policy, leading ADS’s work on workforce initiatives to tackle recruitment challenges and support the talent pipeline for the sector. He has contributed to the development of social value projects such as diversity and inclusion programmes in STEM, anti-bullying campaigns, and community engagement projects.
 
With more than 15 years of experience in external affairs across the transport, health, and sciences sectors, Paul is committed to building strong partnerships and supporting positive policy change. He participates in industry forums and podcasts, providing commentary on workforce development and social value topics relevant to advanced manufacturing and defence.
 
Paul holds a degree in Law and Politics from the University of Kent and began his career working with Members of Parliament in Westminster.
