Air Vice-Marshal Lloyd joined the RAF in 1991 and has completed Engineering roles across Hercules, Tornado and Typhoon aircraft, latterly as Head Typhoon Delivery.

As Chief of Staff for Support and RAF Chief Engineer, he is responsible for the policy, strategy and capability development for all aspects of support in the RAF.

He is Defence’s Sustainable Aviation lead and is Senior Responsible Officer for the RAF’s Net Zero 2040 objective.
