Nigel Sherwood has over 45 years experience in the field of military vehicle research and development within the UK Ministry of Defence working on technologies and concepts. He spent four years as an Integrated Project Team Chief of Staff at the UK Defence Equipment and Support Agency and six years as a Requirements Manager at Cap GM, responsible for a number of Specialist Utility Vehicles including Quadbike, RWMIK Plus and Foxhound. Since joining the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory in 2012, he has provided technical support to armoured vehicle procurement projects including WCSP and Challenger 3 and is the technical lead for Hybrid Electric Drive related research and development supporting the current TD6 programme.
