Mark has served in the Royal Navy for almost 32 years and is currently the Senior Responsible Owner within the Navy HQ’s Acquisition Directorate, leading delivery of two complex programmes across the Royal Navy’s surface fleet; the Maritime Electronic Warfare Programme, upgrading RESM and EW counter measures, and the Maritime Multi-Link Programme, upgrading tactical data links (Link 11, Link 22 and Link 16).

Mark’s background is founded on operations at sea and front line facing support to operations roles. Most notably; Chief Engineer to the Surface Flotilla providing 24/7 global advice across 6 classes of complex warship, regenerating the landing platform dock ship HMS ALBION through a £70m mid-life capability upgrade and deploying to the Far East, and finally as the Combat System Design Authority at the MOD’s Defence Equipment and Support HQ authorising all tests, trials, change, acceptance and clearance for use for all combat systems across as classes of complex warship.
