Jon Cole leads the BT Defence account, which includes Profit and Loss, business development, sales, major bids, service operations and contract management. BT provides services to Defence through Defence Fixed Telecommunications System (DFTS); Integrated User Services (IUS); MOD Mobile; Defence Business Internet (DBI) WIFI and Smart Bases; and a range of other contracts that are crucial to Defence’s role. 

His team also support Defence Industry partners with both BT standard products and bespoke Defence-level services. This is growing new business and serving the Defence Industries with the best of class.

Prior to joining BT he completed a 35 year career in the British Army, culminating at Major General as the Army’s Director for Information, which included being Chief Information Officer at Army Board and ExCo.
