Geoff Maple joined KBR in 2009 following a twenty-year career as a Royal Air Force Logistics Officer, where he undertook various operational tours, headquarters strategy roles, and procurement positions with DE&S. Currently, Geoff serves as KBR’s Strategic Development Director, overseeing UK Defence strategy and the business development portfolio across all domains and customer segments of UK Defence. He also acts as KBR’s collaboration champion and has contributed leadership on collaborative approaches to supporting defence within UK industry.
 
He has previously held the position of Head of Strategy for KBR’s EMEA Government and Defence division, leading KBR’s responses to recent Strategic Defence and Security Reviews.  Geoff worked at Babcock International Group as a Director for Military Aviation from 2016 until April 2020, managing strategy and PNL responsibilities for their aviation operational support business prior to his return to KBR and his current role.
 
After university, Geoff made an attempt to become a professional cricketer before pursuing a career in Royal Air Force and Combined Services cricket. Additionally, Geoff is a director at a Somerset-based graphic design agency alongside his wife, and is involved with the Langport Transport Group, which advocates for a new railway station and utilizes the Master’s Degree in Transport Planning and Management obtained during his RAF service. Geoff has spent his professional life in the defence sector and also engages in activities including family, gardening, cricket, and military history.
