Professor Fiona Strens
Fiona Strens is a Professor of Practice at the University of Strathclyde where she leads the development of the university’s activities focused on Security and Resilience. She joined Strathclyde three years ago, following a 30 year career in security and technology, working across Government and Industry. She started her career as a Science & Technology (S&T) ‘Fast-streamer’ in MOD and worked in various policy and technology roles for 10 years, culminating in a senior civil service role in S&T Policy. This was followed by several years in National Security consultancy before she co-founded CrowdVision, a technology and analytics company, which she led as CEO as it grew internationally. Fiona now complements her work at Strathclyde with advisory work for central Government and NED appointments at Ordnance Survey and Corps Security.
