Charlotte is ADS’ Head of Defence Commercial and has 25 years’ experience working in defence and aerospace commercial roles.  Having undertaken postgraduate studies in the field she joined BAE Systems working on major programmes such as Astute Class Submarine, Hawk Mission Jet and Tornado upgrade programme. She then worked at Thales providing commercial support to civil avionics programmes, and the Chinook helicopter programme.  Charlotte was also a civil servant, working in the Cabinet Office as Deputy Director, Head of Commercial Spend Controls, chairing the Ministerial Approval Panel, with a particular focus on MOD contracting.  Following these roles Charlotte worked as Defence Commercial Director for an SME shipbuilder bidding and negotiating major programmes before providing consultancy services in the Atomic Weapons sector.  Charlotte has extensive experience of UK defence contracting in different sized enterprises at all points in the supply chain and is also familiar with EU and US contracting practices.
