As the Technology and Innovation Sustainability Director at BAE Systems, Cathy leads the company strategy to reduce downstream emissions in our Core products and also leads on green innovation encouraging the development of new net zero (or low Carbon) products. Her approach focuses on understanding the role of emerging technologies in future company plans, aiming to improve energy optimization of products, and to reduce product dependencies on fossil fuels.

Cathy has over 25 years’ experience in the defence sector and has held a variety of engineering and business transformation roles within the Maritime sector. More recently Cathy managed a company-wide technology innovation and investment fund that developed new products with particular successes in the areas of maritime autonomy and advanced manufacturing.

Cathy holds a degree in Mathematics, is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
