Design Considerations for Bespoke Military Power Supplies

Design Considerations for Bespoke Military Power Supplies

Manufacturing Hub Theatre
Power supplies are often difficult considerations for engineers whose focus is on their own core products and design. Sometimes a system will be able to use a standard off the shelf power supply but there are many occasions where system requirements mean that a bespoke power supply solution is required.

The power supply will have a major impact on the entire system performance and reliability, understanding the important considerations for a power supply is key to getting the best bespoke design.

All too often, it appears simple to specify standard modules and put them together using applications notes but in the real world, as many engineers have found out, it just isn’t that easy.

PSU Designs are experts at using standard power modules and at producing bespoke designs, we explain key elements of the power supply. EMC, thermal, regulatory requirements and other subjects.

  • DSEI is a highlight within the defence calendar, I use it to find out what the most recent developments are in every technological area affecting for defence. Without DSEI I fear this sort of interaction, information exchange and knowledge of developments across all domains would be lost. DSEI is an invaluable international biannual event .

  • DSEI is a fantastic showcase for defence companies where international buyers, sellers, developers, thinkers, educators and the trainers can all get together. The UK defence industry is looking to recruit more engineers, scientists and developers into 200,000 jobs and up to 10,000 apprentices within UK defence companies. DSEI is an excellent tool to highlight the challenges the industry face as well as showcase its capabilities domestically and overseas.
