1. The Defence Innovation Journey

This presentation will focus on helping the audience to understand the complex Defence innovation landscape. They will hear about the Defence Innovation Initiative, and how, across Defence there is now a vibrant innovation community with different innovation hubs set up to embrace change, explore and invest in innovation. The audience will get a quick overview of the different innovation hubs, the enabling organisations, and the Defence Innovation Directorate. This introductory presentation will promote the DSEI Innovation Hub, inviting the audience to visit and speak to the various parts of the Defence innovation community, including the Front Line Commands, and will pave the way for subsequent presentations from the various innovation hubs.

2. Dstl - At the Heart of the Innovation Journey

Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, Ministry of Defence

This presentation will focus on engagement with suppliers, how we work together and how industry and SMEs can access our frameworks. It will demonstrate Dstl’s role in every stage of the innovation journey, and its role in providing scientific evidence and expertise to ensure MOD and other Government departments, ensuring they are intelligent customers. It will also talk about the importance of Dstl collaboration with industry to ensure we deliver effective solutions to Defence and Security challenges.

3. Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) - Innovation for a Safer Future

DASA Innovation Partner

This presentation will outline how DASA finds and funds innovation to support UK defence and security through themed competitions and an Open Call for Innovation. DASA’s Innovation Partners, based regionally across the UK, will describe how they provide support and advice to industry, academia and sole innovators about their ideas.
