AMP Power Protection wins landmark contracts with BAE, GE, L3, Babcock & MoD.

AMP Power Protection have been selected to supply the next generation of Rugged Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) to support and protect the Type 26 Global Combat ships, Type 31 Frigates and Ministry of Defence NSOIT(D) Network.

Following specifications and requirements AMP were able to provide the best technical and commercial Rugged COTS products available and put together a UPS Power Package to meet the specific requirements for each contract.

For the Type 31 & Type 26 ships, AMP are providing both AC and DC UPS systems in full compliance with the various DEFSTAN specifications for EMC, Shock/Vibration etc, plus Marine Naval certification by Lloyds Register

The MOD needed a universal, transportable, and rugged UPS to protect the New Style of IT Deployed (NSOIT(D)) critical equipment, AMP drew upon previous experience to design and supply a truly versatile system to meet multiple deployment requirements.
