The RIB 4D is designed for every conceivable use, whether in the maintenance shop with weapons in assembled or dismantled condition, or by maintenance troops working directly on vehicles – without having to dismantle the barrel.

An automatic drive system smoothly moves the laser -camera sensor head through the whole barrel from the breech to the muzzle or vice versa. Within the completely newly designed RIB 4D measuring head, the entire bandwidth of the latest image generating technology for seamless, complete barrel inspection is used. A supersensitive 360° laser light a detail-rich point cloud in combination with the 8 high-resolution cameras. In parallel, the same CMOS sensors generate brilliant 360° videos of the barrel’s interior surfaces. This highly precise barrel digitization offers a comprehensive data basis for secure assessment of a barrel interior’s condition.
