The Rila Xtreme MRAP is the latest development in IAG's portfolio of tactical armored vehicles to be fully certified to NATO STANAG 4569 AEP 55 Vol1 - Level 3 ballistic protection and NATO STANAG 4569 AEP 55 Vol2 - Level 4a and 4b blast protection. The Rila Xtreme MRAP provides ballistic protection against 7.62x51 WC AP8 and 7x62x54 B32R API rounds. It also offers blast protection against 10kg of TNT detonated under the front driver wheel, 10 kg of TNT detonated under the rear driver side wheel, 10kg of TNT detonated under the vehicle body (co-driver) and 10kg of TNT detonated under the rear body of the vehicle. In addition to the STANAG 4a and 4b certifications, the Rila Xtreme has been tested and certified to offer protection against IED threats equivalent to 100kg of TNT detonated on the side of the vehicle. These certifications make the Rila Xtreme the lightest and fastest MRAP on the market in its class.
