The Dismounted Officer Terminal (DOT) device is

able to connect to a CNR radio (HF, VHF and UHF) to

share voice and data services by means a wireless

LAN (WLAN).

The DOT device incorporates a router capable or

routing IP traffic between a CNR radio connected by

wire (Ethernet or PPP) and a wireless device using

WiFi. This approach will enable officer to use data just

with his wireless tablet.
