Strengthening the Defence Industrial Base and International Cooperation

In order to cope with the severe security environment, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation with allied and like-minded countries. It is important to enhance mutual compatibility of equipment with other countries as one means of strengthening cooperation. To this end, Japan will actively conduct joint development and research, and globalise its activities.
