Are we better at manufacturing equipment than talent?

Maintaining advantage: Workforce activation and talent acquisition
Building aircraft is measured in days, yet qualifying the crew and maintainers is measured in years. This session asks if we apply more innovation to manufacturing platforms than people. Drawing on principles of lean thinking and continuous improvement normally found on the production line, we’ll explore how the same methods might be applied to the development of human performance. Defence is shifting from fixed, classroom-based training to adaptive, AI-powered learning that evolves with the learner - faster, smarter, and more effective. Our panel will examine how far we’ve come - and what still holds us back.
