Securing advantage: Agile acquisition and supply chain security
The Royal Navy and its NATO allies are committed to advancing maritime autonomy from concept to combat readiness. However, turning trials into real capability requires significant industrial, policy, and doctrinal shifts. This session will examine how to accelerate the acquisition of unmanned surface vessels by focusing on scaling industrial production, integrating autonomy into doctrine, and developing a skilled technical workforce. Emphasising collaboration with industry and allies, we will explore how to build a UK sovereign, scalable, and interoperable maritime autonomy capability that delivers enduring security advantage.
