Digital transformation as a force multiplier: Applying data, machine augmentation and quantum computing into the battlespace
The pace of digital technological revolution has arguably changed the character of conflict.
The acceleration, democratisation and - most critically - adoption, of effective digital capabilities in contemporary conflicts have demonstrated the force multiplying effects of well-integrated digital technologies. Network Enabled Capabilities and Network Centricity are concepts that have been around for years, but the uncomfortable truth remains, despite the availability and maturity of enabling technologies, Defence is yet to digitally transform at the pace and scale required; risking the erosion of the first user advantage previously enjoyed.
This panel will explore why military digital transformation is essential to the contemporary battlespace, how we can collectively deliver and sustain technological overmatch, and why previous efforts have fallen short.
