Support as an accelerator for the maritime economy enabling the Royal Navy to operate and fight with confidence
Set in the context of the Defence and Security Review, support is both a critical enabler to the maritime economy and enabling the Royal Navy to think differently how it maintains, innovates and adapts utilising the Naval Bases as hubs. This session will explore how the Royal Navy has set a headmark through the Naval Enterprise Support Strategy and look at the opportunity to exploit through the lens of a Capability Accelerators which are an integral part of maximising the potential of sovereign facilities in the Naval Bases.
The panel will include key leaders in Naval Support from the UK MoD and a number of SMEs from Commercial Support and Technology who will at the opportunity and challenge the Defence ecosystem to think differently, challenge norms and discuss how the concept of Capability Accelerators can change how Defence thinks about utilising its sovereign facilities, enabling Defence solutions to Defence problems but to increasingly find Commercial solutions. This will be an important conversation for support leaders across Defence.
