Despite a wealth of cutting-edge innovation, a strong STEM talent pipeline, ample private capital, and established defence infrastructure, the UK defence sector faces a critical challenge: a collective inability to mobilise these assets at scale and speed. This session explores potential barriers preventing transformative change, such as procurement delays, misaligned incentives, and fragmented collaboration all while asking these three important questions: how we can unlock industrial capacity to ensure strategic advantage in a rapidly evolving threat landscape?
