Securing advantage: Agile acquisition and supply chain security
A secure, adaptive, and responsive supply chain is now a critical enabler of defence readiness and strategic deterrence. As the UK and its allies faces the challenge of preparing for both rapid response operations and prolonged engagements, the resilience of its defence industrial base must be built in by design, not bolted on in crisis. This panel explores how defence, industry and the wider ecosystem can utilise its levers, strengthen sovereign capability and reduce strategic dependencies. Creating agile, resilient supply chains can deliver operational effect at speed, whilst also being a driver for regional prosperity and sustainable defence competitiveness. The panel will explore: incentivisation; balancing urgent operational needs with enduring preparedness; improving supply chain assurance; risk visibility; transparency at scale, and collaborative commercial models fit for the operational demands of the force.
