Covid-19 Safety FAQs

Covid-19 Safety FAQs

How will DSEI deliver a safe face to face event?

The DSEI team are working very closely with all stakeholders, venue and local authorities to deliver DSEI 2021. Using the latest industry guidelines – All Secure – a full plan is being mapped out in accordance with government requirements. With large events due to reopen in June, our plans will be updated as and when more guidance is available. In the meantime, below is a snapshot of some of the elements to expect when you arrive at DSEI this year.

Social Distancing

  • We have created extra space at DSEI 2021 with larger gangways and additional seating areas.
  • We will also be requiring EVERYONE to register prior to coming to ExCeL. This includes all exhibitors, visitors and contractors.
  • We will be asking you to prepare for your visit by registering early, ensuring you bring your badge with you and bring items such as a face mask and some hand sanitiser with you. This will help us ease the flow of people in and out of the building.
  • We will be asking all exhibitors to review their stands, taking into account social distancing and cleaning measures and each stand will submit layouts and an assessment for checks in advance.

Cleaning & Hygiene

  • ExCeL has been operating in a Covid compliant manner throughout the pandemic and as a venue, is well versed in sanitisation of the venue space.
  • ExCeL has increased ventilation management systems in place to support good airflow.
  • We will also be working with each exhibitor to ensure that your safety is at the forefront of everyone’s minds paying particular attention to touchpoints and how visitors use the stand spaces.

Protect & Detect

  • There will be a testing process in place and further details of this will be outlined nearer the time.
  • Your information will be made available for the UK Track and Trace process.
  • Your Covid status – Test, Vaccine or recent exposure will also form part of the entry process.

  • We promise to communicate with you every step of the way.
  • We will ask you to help us keep the event safe and that will include elements such as planning what day you arrive, which entrance you come to, what to do before arriving and some basic guidelines around how to navigate the event.
  • We are working closely with Transport for London and ExCeL to ensure clear communication about how to get to and from ExCeL.
  • There will be signage and stewards in place at the event to support a safe event.
