How can Industry and MOD jointly increase availability, capability and sustainability for enhanced readiness and support resilience in a data-driven future

14 Sep 2023
Naval Forum
Agile Acquisition & Rapid Delivery

With circa 140 platform types and over 1.6million assets, the British military’s future support approaches must include both the adoption of new technologies and more agile ways of working across the Enterprise in order to meet future challenges for availability and readiness. This is especially critical for the Royal Navy in achieving effective support resilience to deliver upon it’s core roles of maritime security, international engagement and warfighting whilst operating further afield for longer.

Unlocking the means for increasing defence outputs and optimising through-life will require an agile and adaptive support Enterprise that is able to leverage big data, disruptive technologies and an integrated alignment towards delivery. This panel will be exploring the practical steps and opportunities for MOD and Industry collaboration in addition to the role of Data, Digital twins, Additive Manufacturing and more in order to explore how together, we can jointly increase availability, capability and sustainability to achieve the Royal Navy’s purpose and future vision.
