Ensuring the right people, with the right skills are available at the right time means we need to build secondary and tertiary levels of resilience into the system to maintain operational effectiveness. Embracing equity, acknowledging that everyone in their military careers starts from a different position also begs the question, how do we create an environment of fairness to address any imbalances whilst improving speed to competence, whilst raising standards?
