Top speaker line-up announced for the DSEi Global Defence Conference

A high profile line-up of international speakers spanning government, the military, academia and industry has been confirmed for the DSEi Global Defence Conference. Located alongside the exhibition halls within ExCeL, London, the two-day conference will take place on 12 and 13 September 2007, the second and third day of this year’s exhibition.
The first morning of the conference kicks off with a plenary session on the transformation strategies for people, policy and procurement within the defence arena. General Sir Mike Jackson, former Chief of the General Staff of the British Army and now a senior advisor at PA Consulting Group, will be headlining this debate along with UK MoD’s Commercial Director, Amyas Morse, the European Defence Agency’s Deputy Chief Executive, Dr Hilmar Linnenkamp, and Nick Chaffey, Head of Defence and Defence Industries Practice at PA Consulting.
Following this session, the conference will break down into three streams running in parallel: Strategic Supply Chain Collaboration; Business and Battle Space Network Implementation; and Human Capital Transformation. Highlights of the supply chain collaboration stream will include: Kerry Clarke, Head of the Industry Division at the Australian Defence Materiel Organisation talking about Australian Defence Industry Policy as well as representatives from the French and Swedish governments’ procurement bodies.
For Business and Battle Space Network Implementation, Dag Wilhelmsen, Director of NATO’s C3 Agency will be discussing the NATO NCW Implementation programme, while General Dynamics’ Vice President, Andrew Browne, and Brigadier Rick Bounsall, the former IPT Leader of BATCIS will be talking about how to make the network function.
The third conference stream will focus on Human Capital Transformation and will feature speakers such as Jonathan Evans, the Director General for Human Resources at the MoD’s recently formed Defence Equipment & Support. DSEi 2007 is pleased to announce that there are two sponsors for this year’s conference.
