Do I have to travel to the West End for a night out?

No! East London offers plenty of variety for a night out. Places such as Canary Riverside, Canary Wharf and West India Quay are ideal for dining, offering a whole host of bars and restaurants. Whether you want a quick drink and some bar food or a delicious 3-course meal - there’s something for everyone.

For entertainment there are also comedy clubs, night clubs, cinemas and theatres, based in nearby areas such as Greenwich and Brick Lane.

Where can I go shopping?

Canary Wharf is home to 3 shopping malls - Cabot Place, Canada Place & Jubilee Place - housing over 200 shops. You will find everything from high-street favourites to more exclusive, designer outlets, including Austin Reed, Next, Oasis, Maxwell & Kennedy, Goldsmiths, Books etc, HMV, Space NK and Waitrose. Gallions Reach Shopping Centre is also located near to ExCeL, off the A1020 Royal Docks Road. With free parking and over 30 great stores, including Boots, Next, WH Smith, River Island, Clinton Cards and Tesco.

Is there a gym or fitness facility at ExCeL?

Oasis Health and Fitness is based just 5-minutes from ExCeL’s West entrance, opposite Custom House for ExCeL DLR station. Facilities include a gym, swimming pool, spa, steam room, exercise classes and a beauty treatment room. The gym is open to non-members, upon presentation of your exhibitor pass. The guest fee is £5.
